Recipe for Combatting Caregiver Blues
three and a half miles
on the bike at 6 a.m.,
plus
all the calisthenics and stretches,
punctuated by
plenty of water
follow with
several pages of
a good book,
then,
when someone is stirring,
saute
onion
kale
ginger
colored peppers
mushrooms in
olive and coconut oils
liberally sprinkled with
turmeric
toss kosher salt and
freshly ground pepper
together
season and
stir until soft
add eggs
add cheese
finish to bubbly
under the broiler
serve with
whole grain toast
fruit and
a smile
