Some of the grateful moments I captured this month:
Homemade granola. Making granola is a regular occurrence at our house. None better. No, really. When it seems like work, I pick up a box at the grocery store. Then I remember, and put it back down. None better.
Painted papers for design. After my teaching weekend at Gail’s (see yesterday’s post) I was so delighted to jump back into some art. And so thankful that I already had the recommended sketchbook for her Designing with Circles I class, which I’ve started. Some picture book concepts, long quiet, are rolling around in my brain again.
The Seattle Boat Show! And WOW!! Sand art. That was a wonderful surprise. We go every year now, as a date. Last year, we climbed on every single sailboat, floating and land-locked. This year we looked at small things, safe things. Foul weather gear. Current and tide books. We got our new VHF radio. Always a delight to spend the day with my hubby.
A quick picture snatched of him looking at a lovely little boat. We touched and appreciated it last year, too.
Glad not to live in the city, but I do enjoy seeing structures. The phone camera can’t capture, but looking at this picture reminds me. That is enough this time.
We spent so long there that we caught the sunset.
Simple things. Homely things. The best things.
