Chocolate Brownies for Artists

Don always takes good care of us at the studio. I remember these brownies so fondly that I requested them for our Mother’s Day/daughter birthday dinner.

We are introducing a new aspect to the blog that so many of our students enjoy when they are here for courses – Don’s food.  A constant presence at the Gail Harker Creative Studies Center, Don Harker loves to cook, and he frequently brings in yummy things to share with the students.  First up, his brownies, which are a perennial favorite.  He is frequently asked for the recipe, so here it is.  I hope you are sitting down, because it is quite a surprise!


Don’s Creative Studies Center Brownies

Surprise, surprise, these brownies start with a package brownie mix.  I have tried several brands, but the only one that works for me is the Ghirardelli Triple orDouble Brownie mix (I buy them in six-mix boxes at Costco).
