Grateful: a cold and a free weekend=reading!

I seem to have a little bit of a cold. It’s pretty minor – sinus pressure, runny nose and such – worst is that it seems to be running alongside a nasty kink in my neck/headache thing that has been with me since yesterday.

My sweet husband took me out for pho last night – a huge bowl of spicy hot soup was just the thing.

It’s not great fun to be sick, but in this case, it’s got an upside. I have slowed down and am determined to stay that way for  day or two, and I’m not really ill,  just tired.

That means time to read and relax, with nothing on the calendar for a whole weekend except some writing, some coffee with a friend,  and a whole pile of books to read.
