Grateful: a big pile of words and lots of work to do

Mostly grateful, but partly TERRIFIED and overwhelmed by the sheer task ahead of me.  I just merged all the last outlying parts of my work in progress into their probable order.

It’s all good, and it can only get better, right? Right?

This little Scrivener screen is telling me that I have over 300 pages of paperback novel in my hands to make into a good story. It’s saying that I have lots of revision to do. But it’s also saying that I’ve written (and re-written and re-written) close to 125,000 words.

I just handed the first 65 pages to my first beta reader. Besides my husband, that is. Now to keep on writing and revising.
