Liar and Spy: I was that kid, too

Liar and SpyLiar and Spy by Rebecca Stead

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was the kid who didn’t want the family to worry about me. I was the kid who didn’t quite fit in, had the art of getting through the day perfected. I was the kid who saw things a little differently, too. Lovely book, lovely, touching and sweet and horrifyingly close to home for some of us. I really don’t know what to say. Stead has a gift; she’s found real young people and put their souls between the pages.
